March’s gourmet night theme will be Movies. Not much more direction than that, so lots of room to be creative. Pick a dish from a movie, make a dish named after a movie, there are endless possibilities. Anchorage will hold its Movie Gourmet Night on March 8th.

Well, Anchorage Gourmet night was the first weekend in February and the theme was cheese. We’ll get those recipes and photos posted to the blog soon.
A theme with lots of room for creativity. What kind of cheesy dishes can you come up with for this cold (at least in Anchorage) month.
1/13/08 Update: Last night folks in Anchorage met and had lots of chili. Check out their blog in the coming week for photos and recipes.
Update: Anchorage’s gourmet night has been changed to January 12th.
Will you cook a traditional beef, tomato and bean chili or go for something perhaps a bit more exotic? Or do you have a different idea of “chili” all together. The host left no specific instructions, so have fun and be creative. Be sure to post back here with what you made and the recipe and check out what Anchorage Gourmet Night did. Do you like to cook, but aren’t a part of Anchorage Gourmet Night? Well, you can join us anyway. With gourmetnight.org, we plan to post the month’s theme for our meal and invite others to post what they’ve made in keeping with the theme. We also encourage others to start their own gourmet night groups. It’d be fun to see different groups work from the same theme, but it will also be wonderful to see what themes other groups come up with. Perhaps one group’s theme one month will be another group’s theme the following month because it just sounds so fun and tasty.
